235 cu. in. straight six
The early Chevy straight six was and is a work horse.
Tuned from the factory for torque and reliability these engines would idle at 400 RPM and
had the grunt to power full boat Chevies (mine was a '58) and pickups of the day.
Add air and a modern alternator to these 3.8 liter engines for a smooth reliable
ride. Too cool!

actually designed for heavy truck duty, but boy did they move the full size Chevys of the
